Ashtanga Yoga

A dynamic yoga practice that synchronizes breath and movement. Ashtanga yoga, with its many vinyasas, is great for building core strength and toning the body. Ashtanga yoga focuses on muscle training and develops physical strength. Practicing Ashtanga rejuvenates your body, making it stronger, toned, more flexible and controlled.

Join us on October 24 at 4:00 PM for a basic Ashtanga Vinyasa Transitions Workshop with Teachers Bry and Shiela of Rocket Yoga Philippines. 

​

One beautiful characteristic of the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice is that it focuses on the moments of stillness in asanas as well as the moments of movements in between asanas.

​

In this workshop, Teachers Bry and Shiela will share techniques that approach the transitions in a mindful, straightforward and safe manner. Learn how to work intelligently with your own body's unique proportions and find ease in moving in and out of poses.

Bry Reyes practices and teaches Rocket, Ashtanga, Yin, and Vinyasa. Knowing Bry now, it's hard to believe that she used to have a sedentary lifestyle and feared that she'd always be unhealthy and unfit.

​

Because of her yoga practice, she felt more loving and connected towards her body, mind, and spirit. She wants to share that joyful experience in her classes by helping students let go of limiting beliefs they have about themselves and find that they too are strong and capable of doing amazing things.

Shiela Matias was recovering from a serious knee injury when she started practicing yoga. Life completely changed when her deep appreciation for movement stemming from years of playing football eventually transformed into a passion in yoga.

​

Always seeking new ways to inspire growth and transformation by constantly refining her own asana practice, she shares techniques that accommodate different types of bodies at any level of practice. She believes that apart from experiencing its amazingly physical benefits anyone who discovers yoga eventually finds deeper presence and purpose, greater awareness and sense of joy in everyday life.
